I never planned to order anything from Jewel Mint, mainly because
I don't
wear much jewelry. I am a stud, watch, bracelet kind of girl :p When I first
saw the Lioness Bracelet, I fell in love! <3 I've always wanted a lion cuff
or bangle bracelet, but the ones I've seen at Aldo, H&M, and Forever 21
looked a bit cheap and tacky for my taste ><
This cuff/bracelet is adjustable, so it's great for my tiny wrists :p
I haven't had cereal in a while, just because I have been skipping out on drinking milk.
I've recently been eating Honey Bunches of Oats! yummy :p the one with almond is good too :p
I also received a lovely package from Penelope aka Inspired by Beauty :)
I ordered a pouch from her earlier this month. You can purchase her handmade
brush rolls and pouches here :) She put in an extra pouch for me! how generous!
They are adorable and I'm afraid to use them because they're so perfect lol ><
I ordered the pink one and she put in an extra green! Thank you Penelope!

retrospectively whimsy ✧
Base: Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat
Glitter Polish: OPI 'Save Me' (from the Nicki Minaj collection)
Design: Konad image plate M60 (used one row of the dots)
Top coat: Konad top coat
Bought some new skincare to try from iherb.com :)
I've been wanting to try the Kiss My Face skincare line. I won't be using
them any time soon, as I still have some other things to finish up. The
MyChelle Apple Brightening Mist smells like orange juice... but it
doesn't taste very nice (accidentally licked it from my lips ><') I'm not
seeing a huge difference yet, as I've only used it a couple of times :)
I've been meaning to make my own dry shampoo, but have been lazy.
I decided to try out the Acure Dry Shampoo :) I'm trying to avoid buying
the dry shampoo in the pressurized cans/sprays, as I don't think it's very good
for the environment. I mean... where do they really go... and they're flammable ><
and I discovered a new and lovely show to watch :)
It's about an English Chef and Writer, Rachel Khoo living in the city of Paris.
She introduces us to simple and easy French cooking, while showing us some
lovely bistros and meeting knowledgeable home cooks. I am intrigued! <3
I believe there are a total of 6 episodes :) You can catch the show on BBC or
find some way to stream it online :p I'm not sure if I can post the 'secret' and
'illegal' way of watching it here, haha >>

not so bad after all
I haven't done an outfit post in a long time!
I did do a small one on my twitter over the weekend :p
This outfit mainly showcases my green skirt :) I'm not really sure what
kind of green this is >< what would you call it? it's like a light olive colour.
When I first ordered this skirt from Forever21, I thought it would be lighter.
I wasn't sure if I liked this colour at first, but I'm starting to really like it :)
I can't wait to wear it during the summer :)
Some delicious food I had for brunch and dinner today! :p yum
The first photo is from a vegetarian/organic restaurant called Kale Eatery :)
I loved their food! and would definitely go back again :) lovely place.
I've been addicted to dresses lately >< I was looking at the dresses on romwe.com
and found these 3, I fell in love with! The back of the red dress has 3 little bows! :p
01 beaded black dress ($71) . 02 silver blue shift dress ($39) . 03 bow knot sleeveless red dress ($40)

Cherry Blossoms ❀
Picture heavy post! with a bunch of lovely cherry blossoms :)
I went to High Park with two of my friends and had a great time :p
goodbye winter :p we had enough of you >>
This swan literally stopped for photos. My friend, Mark called it the "attention whore" lol :p
My lovely friend, Khadija. I love this photo of her, very beautiful! :)
Not a big fan of butterflies... usually very afraid of them, especially when they fly near me ><
Hope you enjoyed the photos :)
Are there any cherry blossoms where you live?

Do you have a favourite model?
This is kind of random but I wanted to compile a list of models that I particularly like :p
You know how some people are into actresses/actors/celebrities, well I quite like models :)
I'm sure there are a lot more, but these are just the ones I am currently liking.
Models like Sasha Pivovarova, Natalia Vodianova, Jessica Stam, Gemma Ward, and Coco
Rocha have been my favourites for a very long time. There are many other amazing models
out there, it would take forever! I mainly like models for editorial and runway, just because I
enjoy the photography for editorial. I've collected these photos from the past-present. You might
be able to find some of them on my Tumblr page. I also give credits to the photographer and
where the images were featured on. Do you have any favourites?
Anja Rubik (Polish) . Arizona Muse (American)
Coco Rocha (Canadian) . Daria Zhemkova (Russian)
Emma Pei & Fei Fei Sun (Chinese)
Frida Gustavsson (Swedish) . Gemma Ward (Australian)
Hyoni Kang (Korean) . Jessica Stam (Canadian)
Lily Donaldson (British) . Liu Wen (Chinese)
Maja Salamon (Polish) . Natalia Vodianova (Russian)
Patricia van der Vliet (Dutch) . Samantha Gradoville (American)
Sasha Pivovarova (Russian) . Johanna Jonsson (Swedish)
Hope you found a new favourite :)

raining silver glitter and neon pink
Okay... I can't believe I actually got off my butt and did this for you guys lol
I think Nic Nic from Bang Bang She Shoots asked me to do a tutorial back in last year?
If not, this will be for whoever asked me for one :)
This isn't really a legit tutorial because it's impossible for me to show you how to
actually stamp on the design -.- I only had one other hand to take these photos with =\
So I will try to explain everything as much as possible! I'm planning on getting the
Canon G12 which will allow me to record videos, so I am super excited and am still
trying to save up some money for the camera >>
Base: Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat
Yellow Pastel polish: China Glaze 'Lemon Fizz'
(China Glaze polishes still contain a form of Formaldehyde; Formaldehyde Resin, so I would suggest
using another brand of polish that is less toxic. This is the only yellow polish I have and is also one of
my favourites... let's just hope it doesn't kill me now :p I'm not going to throw it away...)
Pink Special polish: Konad 'Psyche Pink'
Top Coat: Konad top coat
Silver Glitter: CM 'Silver Glitter'
Nail polish remover (Quo non-acetone remover)
Here is a video I made for Wow Wow Nails, so you can see how the stamping works
Okay, now I'm not sure how I'm even going to do this... the pictures are kind of
self explanatory no!? ok sorry I guess this is all I have to say XD just ask me any
questions you may have in the comments -.-

clean cut patterns
I am in love with Zara's April lookbook featuring the lovely Liu Wen <3
The clean cut lines and the lovely patterns all scream spring and summer to me :)
I'm hoping to recreate some of these looks, with the clothes I already own :)
I just need the weather to be much warmer! :(
I was looking through the Chloe Winter 2012/2013 runway photos and noticed
that they included a lot of monotone and gemstone colours. I think winter will
look great this year! We all need to incorporate more colours into our winter
wardrobes :p a pop of colour in your accessories won't hurt :)
I also noticed a lot of oversized, boxy, and baggy styles. I'm not a huge fan
of the boxy, oversized look, so I only took the photos of the outfits that I did
like from their official website. I'm not looking forward to fall/winter any time
soon, but I like to always be up to date in fashion :p
Anyway, I haven't done a fashion related blog post in a while, but I'm always
and constantly looking into it. Just wanted to share some of the styles I am
currently liking :) hopefully, I can do more outfit posts soon! :)

Jurlique Love Balm
I recently bought 2 items from ebeauty.ca and they had to mail my second item
separately, how strange >< I bought the Suki Balancing Day Lotion and the new
Jurlique Love Balm. I don't think it's a new product, but I haven't heard of it before
and it was new on their website :) They also had an Easter sale where you get your
whole purchase for 15% off, so I decided to pick up a new daily moisturizer and
an everyday balm for my nail/hands on the go :)
The Jurlique love balm is quite small, but is the perfect size in my opinion. It's a bit
smaller than the palm of my hand, but bigger than the Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm
in their original tin :)
Ingredients List:
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cetearyl Alcohol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil,
Fragrance (Parfum)*, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract,
Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Rosa Gallica Flower Extract, Bellis
Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Viola Odorata Flower Extract, Viola Tricolor Flower Extract, Echinacea Purpurea Extract,
Bisabolol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Totarol, Phenoxyethanol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Linalool*, Limonene*.
*From Natural Essential Oil (Tangerine - Citrus Tangerina)
I love the texture and scent :) It slightly melts to the touch and is not sticky. It has a light
citrus scent, which isn't at all strong or pungent. If you have ever had a sniff of sweet orange
essential oil, then you will know what this might smell like :) just a lot more subtle than
the essential oil itself, since it's near the bottom of the ingredients list.
I love the packaging/tin, it's very secure and I know it won't open on its own in my bag.
I'm not a fan of skincare/beauty products in tins/tubs, but if the tin isn't too deep, I won't
mind as much. Basing on my first experience of using this balm, I really do love it :)
I mainly bought this for my cuticles/nails and my hands or any dry spots on my arms :p
I've been meaning to get a solid balm for my hands, mainly for on the go/travel. I have
a peppermint oil for my cuticles, but it's a pain to carry around with, since the oil kind of
leaks from the bottle ><
This balm retails for $9, but since I got it with a discount, I paid about $7 :) yay :p

Prada Shielding Balm Lip Tints
I decided to get the Shades 1 and 7. I wanted to get 2 more shades, but they
are extremely hard to find. I bought these from eBay. You can find various
sellers who sell the shielding balms from Amazon or eBay :) The Nordstrom
website sells them as well, but the last time I checked, they were sold out ><
There aren't too many photos of the product online, so I decided to pick up 2 :)
I also did some small swatches. Tint 1 is on the top, a brown/nude shade which
I tried on and thought it was ok... I thought it would be lighter. I like Tint 7 though :)
You can never go wrong with a pink tint :) They're quite thick so you only need a
little bit from the tube. They're also tiny! they're just over 1.5" big (vertically) :p
I honestly don't know what possessed me to buy these :p
I fell for the packaging and the brand >> they're also great
to carry around in your purse. I'm a minimalist after all :p
They were around $8 each more or less >>

A strip of light bronze
I know this photo is blurry, but thought I would post it anyway because I quite like it :p
Base: Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat
Colour: Julep 'Jennifer'
Konad image plate: M19 (french tips) in light bronze
Top: Konad top coat
I only did my left hand for photos :p I'm still kind of sick and coughing non-stop :(
It takes me 2 hours to literally fall asleep because I just can't stop the coughing ><
Anyway I know I've done a similar nail design before, but I think this style is quite
suitable for the spring with the mix of metallics/feminine pink shades :) I'm a french
tip kind of girl and I love to find new ways of reinventing the classic french tip :)
I've been watching gossmakeupartist on YouTube lately, and I'm someone who doesn't
wear much makeup, but I still like to master the basics. He has great tips, a great personality
and his videos just make me want to buy everything he mentions lol :p
