♡ Recent Vintage Favourites ♡

I went to a vintage market last month and found a couple handkerchiefs for only $2 each!
They're absolutely adorable and is in perfect condition. It doesn't look like it has ever
been used. I also picked up a couple of sterling silver rings and I'm not sure which time
period they're from, but they could be from the 30's? If you have an idea, let me know!

My lovely partner found an old Pippi Longstocking book, that belonged to his
mom. It's an original 1950's copy! So... he gifted it to me and I'm in love :D
It seems to be quite fragile at this point, so I have to be very gentle with it.

Fall Outfit with Fashion Mia

Hello! Today will be another collaboration blog post with Fashion Mia!
I put together a warm and cosy outfit for fall and I hope you'll love it as much as me :)
I picked out this cute pink sweater, which is actually quite warm.
I love the thick cuffs at the end. It's also kind of stretchy, but it's still a knit.
It fits like a size medium.

I'm in love with the skirt! It has pockets! I didn't realize it until I tried it on.
The skirt also has a proper black lining and feels like wool. It has a good weight to it.
It's super cute and appropriate for any season.

I don't see any loose threading and both of the items feel very nice.
The sweater is actually soft and not itchy. I love the fabric!

Enjoy the weekend! ♡

A Beautiful Red Dress! ♡

I've been looking for a beautiful red dress to wear during the holidays.
StyleWe contacted me and and I looked through their website.
They have a beautiful selection of dresses and I like how their clothing
is from independent fashion designers/companies in Asia.

So I found the red dress that caught my eye on their website!
The fabric is quite thick and feels very durable. It's definitely not flimsy at all.
The zipper on the side is also very smooth and works well.
The dress is also lined! Yes, a lining is important to me :p
The shade of red for this dress is also beautiful! It's not too bright or dark.

The smallest size is still a little big on me, but I would still wear it.
I have a 24/25" waist and a 32/33" bust, so the smallest size is definitely 1-2 inches bigger.
Here is a closer look at the fabric :)
You can purchase this dress here.
The shipping was also surprisingly quick. It came within' 3 days!

Chosungah Brow Maker ~ Black Brown

I have been looking for something new, for my brows :)
The Chosungah Brow Maker had some good reviews on the Sephora
website, so I decided to try it out for myself. I do like Korean beauty
products, especially for the eyes. I find that their colours/shades work
well with my skin tone. I picked the Black Brown shade.
I love this stuff. This is not a natural/organic beauty product, but the
packaging and the design of the product has won me over!

First of all, it's a 4-in-1 product. I can comb, set, colour, and fill in my brows!

This product doesn't work the best if you have very sparse brows though.
My brows are naturally pretty thick, so this just makes them more polished.
I thought there would be too much product coming off of the brush when
I first pulled it out of the tube, but it gave me the perfect amount.

I did have to get rid of the excess product from the wedge tip.
It doesn't soak too much of the product, making it very easy to apply.
It is also waterproof. I went into the shower and it didn't smudge or come off
until I cleansed my face. It was very easy to remove!
:)

2 posts in 1 day! Sorry for abandoning the blog for a short while :p

Product Fail ~ Gel Polish Soak-Off Clips

I do my nails with gel polish every 2 weeks or so and I usually remove them
by soaking my nails with cotton, wrapped in aluminum foil. I saw these
soak-off clips for removing gel polish and it looked like a great idea... maybe
I could be eco-friendly and buy something reusable... but nope.

I do not recommend these clips.
WHY?

Because they are not suited for everyone.
If you have slim fingers and smaller nails, like me, then these will
definitely not work for you. The clip wasn't able to close all the way
on some of my nails because my nail/finger was too small.

I also feel that the clip isn't completely enclosed onto the finger tip,
so it is exposed to oxygen, making it less effective to soak off the gel.

I bought these clips here.
I love Cosmetic Love though. They have great prices and some of the
latest Korean beauty products/tools. They also offer free shipping, which
is great :) definitely check out the other products from their website!

♡ Primal Pit Paste! ♡

Okay, so I've wanted to make a blog post/review of the Primal Pit Paste
deodorant since last year... literally. I even took photos of the product
last Autumn, but I never got around to it.

So enjoy my review! :)
I finally have the day off this week! :p
I got the Light, Unscented version because I don't like fragrances in deodorant.
I've read other reviews regarding their Regular deodorant being a bit too strong,
as in itching and so forth, so I opted for the Light version, knowing how sensitive
my skin can get with skincare products. They also have other scents, such as
Lavender, Orange Creamsicle, Lemonade and more :)

I love this because:
☆ Fragrance free, no scent
☆ Leaves my pits smelling odour-free
☆ Keeps my pits dry for a good 3-5 hours
(it really depends on the weather and how much I am running around/stressing)
☆ In a jar, where I can get every last bit of the product
☆ It's a solid and melts when in contact with your skin
☆ It's in a glass jar, making it reusable/recyclable

I wish it:
☆ Controlled perspiration... I mean it helps a bit but definitely not for
someone who perspires a lot during the hot summer days

*This is a deodorant and not an antiperspirant so I can't really say much :\

Important Note!
☆ Make sure you exfoliant, wash your armpits at the end of the day.
The baking soda/acids may darken your pits over time if you don't take care of the area!!!
☆ Don't overdo it, it might leave a white cast if you put too much.
I recommend about 1-2 pea sized amounts for each side :)

Ingredients (Organic*)
Organic Shea Butter, Arrowroot Powder*, Coconut Oil*, Non-Aluminum Baking Soda
The jars are $8.95 each, which is quite affordable, but since I'm Canadian,
I had to pay a bit more for shipping which was about $10. I would still purchase it again.

You can get a trial sized jar for about $3.95 on their website.

and I redid my nails last night! Aren't they cute? :p
I can't believe I changed the shape of my nails, in order to do these heart tips ♡
I'm wearing Bio Seaweed Gel's Sweet Pea! It's like a light purple/blue/periwinkle :p
Hope you're all having a nice weekend :)

♡ Recent Nail Designs ♡

I have clearly abandoned my blog for a good 4/5 months now :(
I have been very busy with work, but I hope to blog a lot more
near the end of May, when I travel abroad for a couple of months.

I love doing my nails for special occasions,
so here is one I did for Valentine's Day :p

and my most recent nail design, using all Bio Seaweed Gel polishes :)
Hope you are all well!
There are so many things I want to share on my blog :(
I'm just eagerly waiting for Spring to come.
This cold, dreary weather is quite depressing!

♡ Current Winter Favourites ♡

Long time no see! :p Sorry, I've been busy with work and
haven't had much time or patience to blog. I'm supposed
to be working at this very moment, but I felt like blogging ><

It's legit winter here >< -5 degrees celcius, which feels like -15!

I've been into headbands recently... not sure why but they
keep my hair in place when it's windy outside. I can't wear
them for long periods of time though, because my head starts hurting.
I bought these lovely headbands from Claire's :p
 and some beauty favourites :)

The Weleda Almond facial lotion is great for this time of the year.
I also love my Etude House Jelly lipstick :) It's actually quite moisturizing.
I love the warm nutty vanilla scent during the cold months and the
Vanille Noire is currently my favourite from Yves Rocher :p

and this is my current nail design! :)
with Shellac's 'Indigo Frock' on the tip, layered with
'Zillionaire' (glitter). Then I stamped on some Konad designs :)
Hope you're all enjoying your week :)

♡ Current Favourites ♡

Devita Hyaluronic SeruGel
I decided to give this serum a try when it was on sale at White Rabbit Beauty.
They still have some pretty good sales on their natural beauty products :)
This is definitely not a moisturizer (which I thought it could be), but it's more
of a hydration booster for your following moisturizer. This works for all seasons
for me, since I use acne treatments quite often... AND I'm getting older... resulting
in more dry skin :( which I'm okay with I guess... must embrace it haha. I can't
seem to find this on their website anymore, so I have no idea how much I paid ><

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I'm only on page 74, but I'm liking the book so far :)
It's definitely one of those teenage love story type of reads, haha...
My friend lent me the book and she hasn't had the time to read it herself yet.

Emergen-C Pink Lemonade Vitamin & Mineral Supplement
So... I've been catching random colds and I decided to try this powder :)
I just take 1 packet a day in water and it doesn't taste bad... nor does it
taste amazing, but hopefully it would help to improve my immune system :)
AND it makes my water a rosy pink colour... can't get any better than that :p

Elle Magazine (free from Sample Source)
Yay for free magazines :p

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!!! :D
Hopefully, I'll be going on vacation soon = more photos to share with you all :)

Innisfree Creamy Tint Lip Mousse #3

Yay, a new makeup product review :)
I first saw this in Pony's makeup tutorial :p and then I had to try it for myself :)
I love her tutorials, she makes me want to buy almost everything she uses, haha
and I'm pretty sure the colour she used in the tutorial is misnamed...

Innisfree Creamy Tint Lip Mousse #3 Sweet Fresh Coral

Pros
☆ quite long lasting, leaves a tint
☆ smells great, like lemonade/starbursts (similar scent to their tint balm)
☆ VERY pigmented, a tiny bit goes a long way, trust me lol
☆ leaves a matte finish which I kind of like, especially for such a bright colour

Cons
☆ emphasizes dry lips
☆ not very moisturizing

Price
☆ ~$12
I bought mine on eBay here :)

Tips
☆ I find that you may need a lip brush for this,
if you want it to look completely even on your lips
☆ make sure your lips are well exfoliated and moisturized
before applying this onto your lips :)

So this is what the colour looks like on me :) so bright!
I'm actually afraid to wear this full-on out in public, because it's very bright lol
I dabbed a little bit onto my lips this morning, then spread it out with my finger to tone it down.
But the photo below is what it looks like, full-on.

I'm loving this mascara!

Hello there! sorry for neglecting my blog :(
I have so much to share, but I need to take nice photos for it!
No nice photos = no posts lol

BUT I love this Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara so much, I HAD to blog about it.
This isn't a natural mascara and I still can't find the super waterproof natural mascara that I need.
Okay, first of all, I never wore mascara until now, because my eyes would have a stinging reaction
after about 1 hour of wearing mascara. I always just curled my eyelashes and that was enough for me.
I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to my makeup.

I bought the long & curl version. They also have a volume & curl.
I love this mascara, it stays put all day, holds my curl, and makes my eyelashes look great :)
The packaging is an extra bonus! I just love it :) I won't need to test out any other mascaras.
I'll only be wearing this for 4 days a week, since I do believe in letting my eyelashes rest :)

Pros:
☆ super lightweight, so light I don't even feel that I'm wearing it
☆ waterproof, smudge-proof (seriously, I tend to rub my eyes and this even held up in the rain!)
☆ lengthens! and doesn't clump, so easy to apply, great for beginners!
☆ holds my curl all day!
☆ not that difficult to take off (oil based or regular eye makeup remover will work)
☆ this didn't sting my eye :)

Cons:
☆ $17-20 (this isn't really a con, but for someone who is on a budget and
doesn't want to spend this amount on a mascara, that is totally understandable!)

I bought mine on eBay here :)
The light pink metallic version is a limited edition design.
The original is in a black metallic tube.

and I was able to redo my nails! I hope you like them as much as I do :p

Small gifts to myself :)

Isn't the ring beautiful? I bought it from an amazing Etsy Seller.
Her store is called Delezhen :) There is a sale going on and you can use
the code FBSEP10 or INSTAGRAM10 to get 10% off your purchase!
I think it ends until the last day of September? I'm not sure...

I bought the Rainbow Moonstone. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I love it!
Shipping was very quick to Canada, it took less than a week! :) Her rings sell for $43+

Seriously... I've been wanting this Rodin Lip Balm for the past 2 years...
and I finally bought it!!! I love the packaging, although it is a little difficult to open ><
It is a little overpriced for a lip balm, but $28 is the lowest price I have found online.
I bought it from the Kiss and Makeup New York store online :) I've seen it being sold
in Canada for $31+ which is a little ridiculous... then you have to add tax.

I'm sure some of you have been wondering what my nails look like recently lol :p
I am learning how to do Shellac, so I finally had the time to do a full shellac manicure
on myself yesterday :) I'm very happy with the result! :)

Colour: Shellac 'Cocoa Puff + Moonlight & Roses'
Design: Konad M62

Here is a very short Casual Outfit video! :)

A Gift from Gina Heart!

I was searching around YouTube one day, and discovered Gina Heart!
I love her attitude and spirit towards a healthy lifestyle and hope that
she could gain more subscribers! I think she deserves it! :)

I subscribed to her and left comments on her videos. Then one day
she replied to me and emailed me back! She offered to mail me one
of her handmade flower earrings! She is very sweet!

The earrings are made from real dried flower petals! so beautiful ♡
She also added real Swarovski crystals to my earrings ♡
If you guys would like a pair, you can contact Gina at "ginaheartlifestyle@gmail.com"
She plans to sell these earrings soon, so please support her!
All the earrings will be unique because the flower petals are different :)

She even wrote a lovely thank you letter to me. It was a very sincere and long letter :)

This is a video of how she makes these beautiful earrings/accessories! :) and this is actually the first video I saw from her channel, because I was
researching about the different types of glass water bottles, haha :p

I love Water Spinach

This is really random, but I love water spinach, specifically Chinese water spinach lol :p
and I haven't been posting random food photos lately, so I just wanted to share :)
I had lobster with water spinach and beef, with rice :)

This is my nail design for the week... I didn't really have an inspiration for this.
I wanted something subtle, but different with a pop of colour :)

Ylin Colour Changing Polish!

I was able to choose an item to try out from Born Pretty Store!
I really enjoy browsing through their website because of the variety of items that they sell.
Everything is very affordable and reasonably priced! I love their nail art section and their
iPhone cases section :p They also have clothing, DIY items, and many more on their site.

Pros:
☆ Barely any scent from the polish
☆ Great for children!
☆ Easy to take off
☆ Dries pretty quickly
☆ Awesome ombre effect on the nails (probably for longer nails)

Cons:
☆ Doesn't last very long on the nails
☆ Doesn't always go on very even (you can tell in the photos)

You can get a variety of different colours here :)
They are priced at $7.84/bottle :)

I have a coupon code for 10% off, you can use on the website! PEJW10
I'm not sponsored by the company/website, but they offered a code
and who doesn't want a discount? :p They also offer free shipping!

Hot/warm = blue, Cool = purple
