Julep Maven!
My first Julep Maven box :)
It didn't take long for it to arrive and I was surprised at how undamaged
the box was XD everything was wrapped carefully and nothing was broken :)
It also came with a cute nail file :) always handy to have :)
I remember going to Niagara with Ric, he accidentally broke my pinky nail...
and I didn't bring a nail clipper or file -.- since we were only staying for a
few days, I didn't think I would need it :( haha anyway random note there :p
I love the colours :) I like any type of light pink so I can't wait to try the Jennifer :)
When I was ordering the box, I was thinking that I would give the purple to my
mom as part of her Mother's Day gift, and I am still definitely going to do that.
This is exactly the shade my mom would go for every time! such a lovely purple :)
I've never tried a hand scrub before, so this will be interesting.
The ingredients list is VERY promising as well!
I love how they are using natural ingredients :)
This is my referral link if you are interested :)
When you refer to 2 friends, you get a free month! :)
For new members, use the code COLOR2012 to get your first box for a penny!

indecisiveness
I decided to order a toner on iherb.com on March 13 and just got my
package this morning... I have been waiting forever! or at least it seemed
like it >< I've been trying to look for more natural, basic, inexpensive
alternatives when buying skincare. I used to look for products that would
contain a ton of ingredients, but now I realized that simple is better.
For new customers, you get $5 off your first purchase.
I have a personal code... feel free to use it :p IJI628
For a toner, I was looking for something that contained witch hazel, rose water,
and some form of a moisturizing ingredient = Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel
with Aloe Vera toner! :) what a lovely match :)
I believe this was around $6-7 and because it was my first time shopping
on there, I received an $8 discount for the month of March (usually $5).
Shipping was $6, so I basically paid $6 for this toner + shipping :D but
now I realized that I should have ordered more... because of the shipping
time >< I wanted to try the Acure dry shampoo but they were out of
stock... then the next day after I ordered, they were in stock -.-
After class, I decided to go to Shoppers to pick up a few items, since some of
the things I eventually need/wanted were on sale :D plus I had a coupon to get
20x the points :p so I couldn't let that opportunity get away :p
I picked up the Livingetc magazine, which is now currently my favourite
living/interior design magazine :) I also picked up my go-to acne treatment,
the Vichy Normaderm Active Anti-Imperfection Concentrate. I have always
wanted to try their acne concealer stick, so I picked that up as well. I thought
it would be a good item to have in my purse, to the beach, to travel, etc :)
I have been hunting for a new eyelash curler and the Quo eyelash curler (in gold),
has clearly and ultimately FAILED me >> it's too wide and flat for my eye shape ><
I think I'm going to sell it, as I already opened the package :( I was choosing between
the Quo and the Revlon, I should have gone with my instincts and went with Revlon -.-
The Quo eyelash curler does curl well though, just needs a bit of adjusting to :(
Last item... my Schick Quattro :) self explanatory :p
no nail post this week sorry :( I'm supposed to go get an MRI scan this Friday
on my hand/arm, so my mom told me to not wear any nail polish? although I'm
still not sure how that relates... does it? =\

flowers make me happy :)
I went to go buy flowers after dinner today :) not really because I
wanted to, but I needed them for a project =\
Flowers make me happy though and I'm pretty sure it makes other
people happy because when I was carrying them home, people looked
and smiled :D - ok... probably because they thought my brother was my
significant other haha. My brother was so embarrassed because I asked
him to come along to buy bananas and flowers... then he realized that
people were staring and smiling at him. On the way home he was like,
"people are staring as if I gave you those flowers or something, I want to
go home quick" XD I'm like "these don't look like flowers you would give
to someone because the price tag was still on them... wrapped in plastic" >>
While I was taking some photos, I noticed James (the bear) peaking out from
behind, so I decided to take this lovely photo of him :p he looks grumpy here XD
I bought the monkey a long time ago when I was in San Francisco :)
I did a clothing/item trade today with a random stranger from Kijiji lol :p
So I traded one of my blouses for these 3 lovely nail polishes! I've been
wanting to try the Julep polishes. For the month of March, new members
get their first box for a penny! (code: SHAREONMARCH) no joke, I just
bought mine :p You can read more about it on their website :)
If you're not that interested, just take their style quiz :p
I'm the Classic with a Twist :) let me know which one you are!
colours (left-right): Glenn . Oscar . Maria
A random photo of what I wore today >> My skirt would always turn
whenever I walk... so I found this cute kitten pin and attached the skirt
to my top, to prevent it from shifting XD
I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but I like to have it once in a while.
I found some chocolates in the living room and decided to have one
with some hot green tea :p This was described as 'Dark Chocolate with
Orange Cream' :) It was really good, I loved the orange filling :D
My breakfast and the orange cream filling! :p yummy

or avocado green! what shade of green is this to you? :)
I love eating pistachio's or avocado's so I'm fine with both really :p
actually, this colour reminds me of green tea/matcha powder too >>
I am loving this colour at the moment and have been searching for
this shade of green for the past 2 weeks :p find out the colour below
in my description of the nail design :D

Lipton Green Tea Superfruit
I like drinking tea, especially during the winter. Although I'm drinking less now that
the weather is getting warmer. The weather is truly changing my mood in a good way :p
Lipton was offering 2 samples of your choice from their new Green tea Superfruit line.
I decided to get the Black Currant with Vanilla and the Purple Acai with Blueberry :)
I tried the Purple Acai with Blueberry the other night and it was nice.
The scent was green tea, but it had a little 'sour candy' scent to it >>
not sure how to describe it, but I'm not a huge fan of it ><
Base: Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat
Colour: OPI 'I Don't Give a Rotterdam'
Glitter: China Glaze 'Liquid Crystal'
Design: Konad image plate M85 (which is barely even visible >>)
Top: Konad top coat
Okay, I honestly didn't want to post this nail design because I don't
really like it lol -.- I love the OPI nail colour alone though... >>
I have a new nail design idea in mind, so be sure to check back next week :p

inspired
I truly love this magazine! Inspired is a magazine by Sobey's, a supermarket/grocery store.
Unfortunately this is the last issue I will be getting in the mail, but you can now pick it up
in stores for free or view all their recipes and videos on the website! :D exciting!
I mainly love this magazine because of the design, but also the food photography.
They also offer great healthy tips and recipes, which is great for anyone who is
interested in cooking or finding easy ways to make food :)
I love asparagus!
They had an amazing Speedy morning meals article which you can check out online here :)
They're all very easy, healthy, and quick to make. Breakfast is always important and for those
of you who skip it, at least have a big lunch and less for dinner!
I love radish and I know some people don't, but does this not look lovely? :p
and finally, something we should all try out!
I found this recipe being unique and fun, reminded me of something you can find at Starbucks :p

daily summer essentials
Yah... I said 'summer' :p
Although I wouldn't recommend using the Quash Natural hand
sanitizer in the summer because it might actually attract the bugs ><
I am itching for spring to come, let alone summer :(
but it's always nice to know ahead of time what you MIGHT need :)
Quash Natural Hand Sanitizer (50ml)
Ingredients: aqua, manuka honey +20, aloe vera, zinc pca,
white willow bark extract, radish root filtrate, stay c50 (liquid vitamin c),
white tea solubiliser, lavender essential oil, and lime essential oil
- nice subtle honey and aloe scent
- does indeed clean your hands
- slightly moisturizing but will not replace your hand lotion/cream
- nice slim packaging
* I bought it here :) get it when it's on sale! :)
Neostrata Body Smoothing Lotion (240ml)
Okay, some of you may be like $34 is expensive for a body lotion!
but NO, it is not just any body lotion :p it contains 10% glycolic acid
which helps to remove the dead skin cells a lot faster. This is such a
great product for the summer!
- helps ingrown hairs
- smooths the skin's surface
- leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth
- effective in less than a week, you can definitely see the results!
- you don't need to use a lot, as it spreads quite evenly
- this replaces my ingrown hair roll on
- doubles as a moisturizer! yay
* I bought mine here :)
Quantum Health Buzz Away Insect Repellent (60ml)
I get bitten all the time during the summer :(
Mosquito's LOVE ME, wth and I DO NOT LOVE THEM -.-
They say it's because you have 'sweet blood' >>
- I feel like you have to spray yourself 2-3 times before it's really effective
- sometimes you can feel bugs trying to get near you and then suddenly
they'll fly away because of the insect repellent... which is good, but the
feeling is so WEIRD and creepy ><
- scent is kind of strong and citrusy/limey
- still on the hunt for an awesome natural insect repellent
* I bought mine here :)
and no I am not sponsored by Well.ca lol I just happened to get all
of the items from the same website :p They have pretty good deals!

shimmering leaves
Base: Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat
Colour: OPI 'Sweetheart'
Design: Konad image plate M83 (leaf design)
Glitter: China Glaze 'Nova'
Top: Konad top coat
My nails are somewhat baroque-esque no? :p
The past 2 days have been quite cold, especially today ><
5 layers including my scarf and was still freezing to death!
I guess it's my fault for not having a proper winter jacket >>
I also have a few products I want to do a review on so look out for those! :)
Hope it's warm wherever you may be. I'll be here, jealous :)
