Silk Naturals ☆ Blush Swatches

left-right: Pretty Plum, Wish You Were Here, Petal (swiped 2/3 times)

Yikes, loose powder blushes!
Honestly, I'm not sure why I decided to buy these... probably because I was
extremely attracted to the swatches on their website. Seriously... do these not
look beautiful to you? I have 5 more of their sample blushes and I don't think
I'm going to review/post about them unless you want to see swatches.

I really love these... if only they sold them in a pressed powder form ><
I know I can probably press it myself, but knowing how I am, I won't be
arsed to do it, because I'm just that lazy :p

Pretty Plum is really pretty!!! It's the perfect mauve-y blush shade I have
been searching for. It's softer in person and not too dark.

Wish You Were Here is a nice coral shade which is very pretty :)

Petal is a very light petal/blossom pink shade and shows up quite light
on my cheeks, but it gives me a light/fresh look.

Positive Notes
☆ very pigmented
☆ smooth texture
☆ lasts almost all day
☆ beautiful colour selection (some are dupes for MAC blushes)

Other Notes
☆ the darker colours are very pigmented so you have to use a light hand
☆ loose powder form = messy
☆ not very travel friendly

Price
☆ $1.25 (sample)
☆ $6.50 (10gram jar)

Purchase them here if you're interested!

Here are some flash photos for you :)

and a surprise Nubar Favourites of 2012 video :p

Julep Maven!

My first Julep Maven box :)

It didn't take long for it to arrive and I was surprised at how undamaged
the box was XD everything was wrapped carefully and nothing was broken :)

It also came with a cute nail file :) always handy to have :)

I remember going to Niagara with Ric, he accidentally broke my pinky nail...
and I didn't bring a nail clipper or file -.- since we were only staying for a
few days, I didn't think I would need it :( haha anyway random note there :p

I love the colours :) I like any type of light pink so I can't wait to try the Jennifer :)
When I was ordering the box, I was thinking that I would give the purple to my
mom as part of her Mother's Day gift, and I am still definitely going to do that.
This is exactly the shade my mom would go for every time! such a lovely purple :)

I've never tried a hand scrub before, so this will be interesting.
The ingredients list is VERY promising as well!
I love how they are using natural ingredients :)

This is my referral link if you are interested :)
When you refer to 2 friends, you get a free month! :)
For new members, use the code COLOR2012 to get your first box for a penny!

flowers make me happy :)

I went to go buy flowers after dinner today :) not really because I
wanted to, but I needed them for a project =\

Flowers make me happy though and I'm pretty sure it makes other
people happy because when I was carrying them home, people looked
and smiled :D - ok... probably because they thought my brother was my
significant other haha. My brother was so embarrassed because I asked
him to come along to buy bananas and flowers... then he realized that
people were staring and smiling at him. On the way home he was like,
"people are staring as if I gave you those flowers or something, I want to
go home quick" XD I'm like "these don't look like flowers you would give
to someone because the price tag was still on them... wrapped in plastic" >>

While I was taking some photos, I noticed James (the bear) peaking out from
behind, so I decided to take this lovely photo of him :p he looks grumpy here XD
I bought the monkey a long time ago when I was in San Francisco :)

I did a clothing/item trade today with a random stranger from Kijiji lol :p
So I traded one of my blouses for these 3 lovely nail polishes! I've been
wanting to try the Julep polishes. For the month of March, new members
get their first box for a penny! (code: SHAREONMARCH) no joke, I just
bought mine :p You can read more about it on their website :)

If you're not that interested, just take their style quiz :p
I'm the Classic with a Twist :) let me know which one you are!

colours (left-right): Glenn . Oscar . Maria

A random photo of what I wore today >> My skirt would always turn
whenever I walk... so I found this cute kitten pin and attached the skirt
to my top, to prevent it from shifting XD

I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but I like to have it once in a while.
I found some chocolates in the living room and decided to have one
with some hot green tea :p This was described as 'Dark Chocolate with
Orange Cream' :) It was really good, I loved the orange filling :D

My breakfast and the orange cream filling! :p yummy

Sally Hansen and OPI glitter polishes

I recently got new nail polishes! mostly glitter ;p what fun :)

I've been wanting to try the new Sally Hansen Green Tea & Olive base coat.
The bottle is quite cute, while the cap has a metallic finish and the bottle itself
has more of a matte finish. The polish itself is like a milky white colour. I didn't
really get it for a specific purpose, but I do hope that it will help my nails from
splitting, especially during the winter months >< and in Canada... we have really
long winter months -.- which really kind of sucks... because I don't like freezing
cold weather! My room literally becomes a freezer ._.

Yes, off topic >< I picked up 3 OPI glitter polishes :)
(Left to right: 'I Lily Love You'. 'Last Friday Night'. 'Sparkle-icious')
I used 'I Lily Love You' recently for my 'Make a Wish...' nail design post :)

Priti Polish Galore!

Well, well, well look what we have here! =] I recently ordered some Priti Polishes from www.goodearthbeauty.com some 2 weeks ago (I requested for 3 other colours that wasn't available on the website, so it took a bit longer but so worth it! Karen, the owner is extremely nice). I got the package this morning and was sent out some time last week, so not bad =]

Left-Right:
- Fairy Thimbles
- Bluestar (very similar to China Glaze's 'For Audrey' but lighter)
- September Charm (similar to OPI's 'Coney Island Cotton Candy')
- Ballerina Peony (I adore this colour)
- Ruffled Velvet Iris

are the names not beautiful/cute or what!? =]

I ordered 4 more colours, but I am going to sell them because they're colours I either already have or don't see myself wearing =p

Prince Charming, Chelsea Star, Blue Moon Clematis (very similar to OPI's 'Significant Other Color"), and Dorothy Palm.

I thought Prince Charming would be a lot lighter, but it reminded me of China Glaze's 'Flipflop Fantasy'... which the 2 aren't alike at all but they are both very bright. Flipflop Fantasy is more peachy (neon)

I am wearing Priti Polish in 'September Charm'

beauty on the beach

I am in love with the colour "Beauty on the Beach" from China Glaze =p it is an amazing colour for summer and is super fun and bright =] actually... this is the first China Glaze polish I used... there is a technique to painting with this colour... I had to paint a thin layer and then another thin layer to get the right colour. I tend to just paint a thick layer but that didn't turn out well with this polish =\

I am so full from eating this for dinner >> some of which I do not know what it is called in English XD if that even made any grammatical sense >> there is... rice... clearly >> mushrooms, veges, duck, and some unknown sea-like creatures I love to eat >> =p

and this is what I do when I am bored at work >> sorry for the quality... I don't carry my Nikon D60 around everywhere >> wish I could but I hate to carry a lot of stuff... even though I sometimes carry a lot of stuff >> I'm one of those "in case" types of people... like in case I need something, I'll just bring it even though I probably wouldn't even need it >>

sula paint & peel

I saw a set of 3 sula paint and peel polishes at Winners yesterday and wanted to try them out =] I haven't tried them yet but I'll update when I do =] it's supposed to take 10 minutes to dry o.o haha still want to see how it works though =] I got the set with a sand, green, and turquoise coloured polishes =] and I also picked up one of the h.i.p eyeshadow duos from L'Oreal at Walmart =] I've been looking for a light green eyeshadow and I absolutely love this one =] and it's quite pigmented =]
