I rarely have Saturdays off since I work on the weekends, but I'm going to a friend's engagement today so I was able to just go out with my parents for grocery's in the morning =] I saw a few things at H&M I really liked but I didn't buy anything >< I need to save money... I might go shopping next Tuesday morning >> not sure.

Nubar Gem & Midnight Glory
ok, my pictures are getting kind of bland so here are 2 new polishes I got from Nubar! =] Gem and Midnight Glory (left to right). They're riding on Kees (pronounced 'case').
I can't wait to have Gem on my toes when the weather gets warmer for wearing sandals =]
I really do like the Nubar polishes, the quality of the polish itself is amazing, application is always very smooth for me and they have such a variety of unique colours.
Gem
Nubar colours I am currently liking:
- indigo illusion
- iced licorice
- raspberry truffle
- purple rain glitter
- emerald
Missha vs. Naruko Peeling Gels
Missha Super Aqua Peeling Gel (100ml)
This was the first ever peeling gel I tried. It comes out as a white milky gel. At first I thought this was a pretty good peeling gel, until I tried the Naruko peeling gel. Compared to the Naruko Peeling Gel, I would say that this product kind of lacks in what it's supposed to do. Yes, my dead skin did clump up, but there was no dirt or makeup along with it. In the end, I really wonder if it did anything for my skin?
Naruko Majoram and Lavender Brightening Peeling Gel (120ml)
I just tried this yesterday night and this definitely beats the Missha peeling gel. It comes out as a clear thick gel and the moment you start massaging it onto your face, the dead skin will start to clump up along with the makeup, which really surprised me because although the Missha peeling gel did clump up, I did not see any dirt or makeup along with the clumps, it was just clear and white like the gel itself.
This gel also helped to clear out some of my blackhead/pores on the sides of my nose, which the Missha Peeling Gel didn't really do much for me.
sorry for the not so clear photos >< I think I need to find a new spot for taking photos, I'll do a better job next time >< (I retook the first picture =p much better)
and a new nail design I did yesterday. I'll be redoing my nails again tonight for my friends engagement tomorrow, very excited and nervous =p

21 Drops Aromatherapy
These aromatherapy blends are quite intriguing =] I believe they're $28 each(8.5ml) and there are 21 different blends. Each of the blends are for specific needs. They are natural essential oils that target a certain part of the body. I'm not very good at explaing so here is a little description from www.21drops.com.
"When essential oils are inhaled through the nose, aromatic molecules are carried through the lining of the nasal cavity via tiny olfactory nerves, located in the roof of the inner nose, to the part of the brain called the limbic system. The limbic system in turn influences the endocrine system and the autonomic nervous system." - 21 Drops
Which one are you?
I would probably get myself PMS, Moody, Distracted, Powerless?, and Sleepless? =p
I wonder what these really smell like though, love the packaging =]

Naruko & 100% Pure skincare update
sorry for the quality of the photo >< has been cloudy and raining all day and I really wanted to get this posted up -.-
Naruko Niaouli & Tea Tree serum (30ml)
I really like this serum, it helps to even out your skin tone and balance the oil on your face. I use this in the morning after toner and before my moisturizer. This only lasted me 3/4 months =[ I didn't expect it to finish so quickly. I buy my Naruko products from www.beautyeshop.co.uk. I would definitely purchase this again, but I want to try the 100% Pure Red Wine Reservatol serum next =]
100% Pure Pomegranate Antioxidant Hydration with SPF 20 (50ml)
I have been using this moisturizer for the past year and it's almost done. You can't see it in the photo that well -.- but there's less than half an inch in the 2nd bottle in the photo. The last bottle in the photo is a new packaged version of the moisturizer I recently got on eBay. I usually always buy from the official 100% Pure website (www.100percentpure.ca), but I didn't want to pay for shipping -.- for just one item.
This is a moisturizer for all skin types. I have combination/oily skin and it does a pretty good job. I wouldn't recommend this for really dry skin though because the sides of my nose gets really dry during the winter, but this moisturizer doesn't keep that area moisturized as well. It absorbs well and it has a slight avocado smell which I love <3 it's very subtle though.
I will keep buying this product until I find another moisturizer that's natural and has at least SPF 15/20. I've been searching, but can't find any others except for the Juicy Beauty apple moisturizer with SPF 15.

Scotch Naturals
These are just some of the colours I like from their line =]
Non-toxic, water based nail polish =]
They range from $10-15 depending on where you get them and if you can find them on sale.
They also have a line for kids, called Hopscotch Kids
www.scotchnaturals.com and www.hopscotchkids.com =]
Loose Button #02
Items in the box (left to right):
- Principessa Ultimate Softening Shampoo & Conditioner
- Clinique Different Lipstick (Raspberry Glaze)
- Clinique High Impact Mascara
- Lancome Juicy Tube (Raspberry Ice)
I must say... I'm kind of disappointed with this one >< I don't think I will order another box because well... I'm not sure why I did in the first place >< I'm not that into makeup to begin with... more interested in skincare ><
The only thing I like from this box is the Juicy Tube lip gloss, it looks more pink in person and is a very cute colour. The lipstick is nice, applies like a lip balm and at first, I wasn't so sure about the colour... not something I would gravitate towards, but I did try it on and it doesn't look bad =] don't think I want to keep it though ><
I'm wearing the lipstick in this photo =]
As for the shampoo and conditioner, I'm kind of excited to try them out but I'm going to save them for when I travel in the summer =] hopefully... I will get to travel >>
I do plan on ordering one for the month of my birthday though... which will be in 7.5 months lol

Pai Skincare!
I'm always looking for new organic skincare brands. Pai is a skincare brand targeted for sensitive skin types. I believe they originate from the UK. They currently have a small skincare line for all skin types and I'm hoping to see more from them in the near future =]
I don't plan on getting anything from them yet because I still have quite a bit of stuff to finish. I am mainly interested in their Geranium & Thistle Moisturizer and their Bergamot Orange Lip balm.
www.paiskincare.com
The shipping is very affordable, but you can get free shipping if you spend over $60. If you don't like your item, you can return it within' 30 days with your money back along with the shipping costs =]

Honeybee Gardens Lipstick
I'm sure many of you may or may not have heard of this brand. They are natural and paraben free. They have a line of cosmetics, lip care, hair care, body care, and more =] I have been trying to hunt down swatches online but it's really rare to find some good reviews on these lipsticks. I think this video will give you a good idea of what they look like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itdLZVh7a64
I love 'Valentine' in the video above ^ but not sure if it would show up on my lips lol. So I'm also interested to see 'Soft Kiss' because it's lighter but it seems a bit more sheer based on swatches I've seen online >< you can purchase these online at www.goodearthbeauty.com or eBay. If you live in the United States, you can probably find them in organic/herb stores.
These can range from $8-11 USD. They are around $14/15 CAD ><

Typographic self portrait
This is for one of my classes. We had to design a typographic self portrait based on our weekly journal entries of whatever we wanted to write about =]
Mine is based on the weather and how it effects how I feel =] I also painted the background on an old piece of wood.

Priti Polish Galore!
Well, well, well look what we have here! =] I recently ordered some Priti Polishes from www.goodearthbeauty.com some 2 weeks ago (I requested for 3 other colours that wasn't available on the website, so it took a bit longer but so worth it! Karen, the owner is extremely nice). I got the package this morning and was sent out some time last week, so not bad =]
Left-Right:
- Fairy Thimbles
- Bluestar (very similar to China Glaze's 'For Audrey' but lighter)
- September Charm (similar to OPI's 'Coney Island Cotton Candy')
- Ballerina Peony (I adore this colour)
- Ruffled Velvet Iris
are the names not beautiful/cute or what!? =]
I ordered 4 more colours, but I am going to sell them because they're colours I either already have or don't see myself wearing =p
Prince Charming, Chelsea Star, Blue Moon Clematis (very similar to OPI's 'Significant Other Color"), and Dorothy Palm.
I thought Prince Charming would be a lot lighter, but it reminded me of China Glaze's 'Flipflop Fantasy'... which the 2 aren't alike at all but they are both very bright. Flipflop Fantasy is more peachy (neon)
I am wearing Priti Polish in 'September Charm'

Bright pink lips
So I've been looking for a bright pink lip colour and Shoppers is having a sale on the new Covergirl Lip Perfection lipsticks ($7.99 until April 8th!), so I decided to get 2 to try... actually I wanted 3, but I just ended up staring at all the lip colours for like an hour >> yah I am so indecisive, it's not even funny lol -.-
I got the shade in 'Enchantress' (bright pink) and 'Rapture' (peachy coral?) and instead of getting the other lipstick in 'Divine' (a purple plum), I picked up the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss instead because I can't really see myself wearing a purple hued lipstick but a gloss is more subtle.
I just put on the lipstick in 'Enchantress' and I am loving it, it's a beautiful colour and it actually flatters me haha I was very surprised, this is going to be my favourite lip colour this season for sure =] I picked up 'Rapture' because the Etude House VIP lipstick was just too dry and I can't wear it, so I needed another peachy coral/orange lip colour to replace it, I'll see how that goes... another day =]
[EDIT-April 6]
I returned the lipstick in 'Rapture' as it was extremely drying for me and did not show up as I had wanted on my lips. It's still a nice colour though, probably for someone who has less pigmented lips. I like 'Enchantress' just wish it wasn't a frost because it does get very drying on me. I love wearing 'Enchantress' and then the 'Lilac Pastelle' on top, very pretty =]
