hmmm before, my hair kind of for the mostpart stayed in place with a clip. i just teased it a bit for some texture. recently i got a hair donut and use bobby pins to hold it in place. im not sure if you know of this tip, but the curvy/bumpy side of the bobby pin is suppose to be the part that lays on your head. curvy side down and flat side UP!
i know what you mean..feeling weird with something on your head! but i actually dont notice it when i use the hair donut. i've tried the hard plastic bump its before and those are just bad! i am reminded its in my hair all the time because its hard and kind of uncomfortable because it has some weight to it.
