Update :p

Ah, I haven't blogged in a while ><
Just going through some personal problems, but it's bright and sunny today,
so I felt like taking photos of my current nails and things I have been liking :)

My friend, Brenda gave me this cute boxed set as a late birthday gift/Christmas gift lol
Super cute stuff! I love everything in the box :) especially the pet hand cream :p

About 2 weeks ago, these beautiful ceramic bowls were being sold in the lobby of my school.
They were all made by the students who are from the Ceramics/Pottery department? Sorry if
I am completely wrong with the name >< but I picked one up for $10 and I just love it.

I redid my nails last night. I've been wanting to wear OPI's "You're Such a Budapest" for such a long
time, but haven't had the chance to because of work. It's such a beautiful periwinkle/lilac shade :)
The eye pattern design is inspired by Kenzo :p I've been wanting to use that pattern since Halloween.
But I never did, so I'm happy that I finally have them on my nails lol :p

Aupie Smart Touch Gloves!

Aupie offers affordable streetwear and fashion items, with worldwide free shipping! :)
They are slowly bringing in more items! Sign up to get 15% off your first order!
They contacted me to do a review on an item of my choice worth up to $30.

www.Aupie.com

I decided to get these smart touch gloves!
I've been wanting something like this from Echo last year, but they're a bit pricey.
These gloves are only $25.99! :) You can get a variety of different colours too!
Here is the link to the gloves that I got HERE! :)

I originally wanted the light grey, but then I didn't like how the knitted 'touch'
part was a different colour/shade of grey :p so I chose the dark grey, which
turned out to be a good idea, since my winter jacket is dark grey :)

The fluffy white part is actually super soft! I can't stop touching it haha.
I thought the gloves would be a little bit thicker though, from the photo I saw online.
It's a little thinner than the photo, but it will still help to keep your fingers warm.
I wish they had the white fleece lining inside the glove, it would be really nice and cozy.

AND the most important part is, does it actually work with my iPhone!?
Yes! it works really well actually. The touch technology is on the thumb, index,
and the middle finger, so you can do whatever you need to do on your phone :)
I made a long text as usual, and there were no mistakes :)

I'm loving this mascara!

Hello there! sorry for neglecting my blog :(
I have so much to share, but I need to take nice photos for it!
No nice photos = no posts lol

BUT I love this Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara so much, I HAD to blog about it.
This isn't a natural mascara and I still can't find the super waterproof natural mascara that I need.
Okay, first of all, I never wore mascara until now, because my eyes would have a stinging reaction
after about 1 hour of wearing mascara. I always just curled my eyelashes and that was enough for me.
I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to my makeup.

I bought the long & curl version. They also have a volume & curl.
I love this mascara, it stays put all day, holds my curl, and makes my eyelashes look great :)
The packaging is an extra bonus! I just love it :) I won't need to test out any other mascaras.
I'll only be wearing this for 4 days a week, since I do believe in letting my eyelashes rest :)

Pros:
☆ super lightweight, so light I don't even feel that I'm wearing it
☆ waterproof, smudge-proof (seriously, I tend to rub my eyes and this even held up in the rain!)
☆ lengthens! and doesn't clump, so easy to apply, great for beginners!
☆ holds my curl all day!
☆ not that difficult to take off (oil based or regular eye makeup remover will work)
☆ this didn't sting my eye :)

Cons:
☆ $17-20 (this isn't really a con, but for someone who is on a budget and
doesn't want to spend this amount on a mascara, that is totally understandable!)

I bought mine on eBay here :)
The light pink metallic version is a limited edition design.
The original is in a black metallic tube.

and I was able to redo my nails! I hope you like them as much as I do :p

Small gifts to myself :)

Isn't the ring beautiful? I bought it from an amazing Etsy Seller.
Her store is called Delezhen :) There is a sale going on and you can use
the code FBSEP10 or INSTAGRAM10 to get 10% off your purchase!
I think it ends until the last day of September? I'm not sure...

I bought the Rainbow Moonstone. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I love it!
Shipping was very quick to Canada, it took less than a week! :) Her rings sell for $43+

Seriously... I've been wanting this Rodin Lip Balm for the past 2 years...
and I finally bought it!!! I love the packaging, although it is a little difficult to open ><
It is a little overpriced for a lip balm, but $28 is the lowest price I have found online.
I bought it from the Kiss and Makeup New York store online :) I've seen it being sold
in Canada for $31+ which is a little ridiculous... then you have to add tax.

I'm sure some of you have been wondering what my nails look like recently lol :p
I am learning how to do Shellac, so I finally had the time to do a full shellac manicure
on myself yesterday :) I'm very happy with the result! :)

Colour: Shellac 'Cocoa Puff + Moonlight & Roses'
Design: Konad M62

Here is a very short Casual Outfit video! :)

A Gift from Gina Heart!

I was searching around YouTube one day, and discovered Gina Heart!
I love her attitude and spirit towards a healthy lifestyle and hope that
she could gain more subscribers! I think she deserves it! :)

I subscribed to her and left comments on her videos. Then one day
she replied to me and emailed me back! She offered to mail me one
of her handmade flower earrings! She is very sweet!

The earrings are made from real dried flower petals! so beautiful ♡
She also added real Swarovski crystals to my earrings ♡
If you guys would like a pair, you can contact Gina at "ginaheartlifestyle@gmail.com"
She plans to sell these earrings soon, so please support her!
All the earrings will be unique because the flower petals are different :)

She even wrote a lovely thank you letter to me. It was a very sincere and long letter :)

This is a video of how she makes these beautiful earrings/accessories! :) and this is actually the first video I saw from her channel, because I was
researching about the different types of glass water bottles, haha :p

Stepping into Fall

Autumn hasn't come yet, but I can feel that the weather is starting to cool down.

Base: Essie Grow Stronger base coat
Colours: OPI 'Significant Other Color' & Nubar 'Midnight Glory'
Design: Konad Image Plate M95
Top: Konad Top Coat

I will be going back to my Design classes next week.
I'm also looking for a new job, more related to what I am studying and would
like to pursue in the future. I've applied at a photo studio and I still want to work
at a magazine, but I haven't seen a posting for what I want yet. If I can't find
anything, I plan to work in retail relating to fashion :) Honestly, I need money
and I don't want to just sit around and wait for something. I might as well work
more at different jobs and gain more experience.

Hope you're all having a good start to your week of school/work or whatever
you are currently pursuing! I might not post as many nail designs in the future,
but I will still be posting natural skincare reviews! :p

My Bkr in Chip ♡

I've been wanting a Bkr water bottle for probably over a year now ><
Honestly, I couldn't decide on a colour and I wasn't planning on getting more than one.
But then the Spring 2013 collection came out and I fell in love with the colours!
I couldn't decide between Chip and Fluff, but I ended up getting Chip and I'm in love! :)

The silicone sleeve does attract a bit of dust, but it's no big deal :)
I love drinking from it... it's like a fashion accessory :p haha

The bottle sells for $28, but I know that their colours from past seasons are less expensive.
I've seen it on a variety of websites, but shipping to Canada was a bit much and they didn't
have the colours I liked. They have some lovely photos on their Facebook page as well :)

I've been quite busy with work lately, hopefully I'll get to make more posts next week!

I love Water Spinach

This is really random, but I love water spinach, specifically Chinese water spinach lol :p
and I haven't been posting random food photos lately, so I just wanted to share :)
I had lobster with water spinach and beef, with rice :)

This is my nail design for the week... I didn't really have an inspiration for this.
I wanted something subtle, but different with a pop of colour :)

Base: Essie Grow Stronger base coat
Colour: OPI 'Tickle my France-y'
Designs: Konad Image Plates M72 (slash print), M79 (polkadots)
Top: Konad top coat

Ylin Colour Changing Polish!

I was able to choose an item to try out from Born Pretty Store!
I really enjoy browsing through their website because of the variety of items that they sell.
Everything is very affordable and reasonably priced! I love their nail art section and their
iPhone cases section :p They also have clothing, DIY items, and many more on their site.

Pros:
☆ Barely any scent from the polish
☆ Great for children!
☆ Easy to take off
☆ Dries pretty quickly
☆ Awesome ombre effect on the nails (probably for longer nails)

Cons:
☆ Doesn't last very long on the nails
☆ Doesn't always go on very even (you can tell in the photos)

You can get a variety of different colours here :)
They are priced at $7.84/bottle :)

I have a coupon code for 10% off, you can use on the website! PEJW10
I'm not sponsored by the company/website, but they offered a code
and who doesn't want a discount? :p They also offer free shipping!

Hot/warm = blue, Cool = purple

My visit to Paris with Ric ♡

Picture heavy post! :)
We drove to Paris from the Netherlands and decided to stay in Paris for 2 days.
We stayed at the Mama Shelter Paris :)

The hotel is quite affordable with rates from 79 euros +/night.
They have a special on Sundays, so we drove there Sunday morning, arrived about 6 hours later.
We slept there Sunday and Monday night, then left Tuesday afternoon :)

This was more of a 'romantic' getaway trip lol, we wanted to go to Barcelona after as well, but
we did not have enough money and could not afford to go >< maybe another time :D

I have been to Paris before, but I would never mind going back there again just because the city
is very beautiful and I love the architecture. There is always something new to see. There are many
parts of France in general, that I would like to visit. I feel very grateful that I am able to visit places,
be able to eat good food, be around people who are friendly and kind to me. Although I like to keep
my personal life private, Ric and I have been in a long distance relationship for almost 5 years now.
That is why I travel to the Netherlands more often than some people. We try to see eachother at least
2 times a year, if not more, if possible.

Sorry for this horrible, blurry photo >> The hotel had natural skin/body care products! yay :D

We decided to take the Metro on Monday to travel throughout the city. The subway is very accessible
and affordable. We spent about 6 euros for a day pass and the subway line is just crazy compared to
the Toronto subway line, haha. I like how Toronto's subway line is simple and to the point though.

I didn't bring my DSLR with me... and I felt pretty stupid... but my Canon D12 did a pretty good job.

I also posted a few photos on my Instagram if you're interested in seeing a bit more :p
Hope you're all having a nice summer :)

Random new things :)

I bought this lovely pencil case from ONE's. It's by a brand called Languo :)
The highlighter below can actually be erased! :) I thought it was neat and cute so I bought it :p
They were both very reasonably priced. The pencil case was $5.99 and the highlighter was $1.99 :)

I also picked up this super cute Bubble mesh sponge from The Face Shop at Pacific Mall.
I will be doing a review on facial cleansing tools later in the month :)
The sponge was only $3 in the store, but I also found it on eBay here.
There is also one from Missha for about $4 on eBay here.

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I just wanted to share some of my random purchases :p
