Silk Naturals ☆ Blush Swatches

left-right: Pretty Plum, Wish You Were Here, Petal (swiped 2/3 times)

Yikes, loose powder blushes!
Honestly, I'm not sure why I decided to buy these... probably because I was
extremely attracted to the swatches on their website. Seriously... do these not
look beautiful to you? I have 5 more of their sample blushes and I don't think
I'm going to review/post about them unless you want to see swatches.

I really love these... if only they sold them in a pressed powder form ><
I know I can probably press it myself, but knowing how I am, I won't be
arsed to do it, because I'm just that lazy :p

Pretty Plum is really pretty!!! It's the perfect mauve-y blush shade I have
been searching for. It's softer in person and not too dark.

Wish You Were Here is a nice coral shade which is very pretty :)

Petal is a very light petal/blossom pink shade and shows up quite light
on my cheeks, but it gives me a light/fresh look.

Positive Notes
☆ very pigmented
☆ smooth texture
☆ lasts almost all day
☆ beautiful colour selection (some are dupes for MAC blushes)

Other Notes
☆ the darker colours are very pigmented so you have to use a light hand
☆ loose powder form = messy
☆ not very travel friendly

Price
☆ $1.25 (sample)
☆ $6.50 (10gram jar)

Purchase them here if you're interested!

Here are some flash photos for you :)

Prada Shielding Balm Lip Tints

I decided to get the Shades 1 and 7. I wanted to get 2 more shades, but they
are extremely hard to find. I bought these from eBay. You can find various
sellers who sell the shielding balms from Amazon or eBay :) The Nordstrom
website sells them as well, but the last time I checked, they were sold out ><
There aren't too many photos of the product online, so I decided to pick up 2 :)
I also did some small swatches. Tint 1 is on the top, a brown/nude shade which
I tried on and thought it was ok... I thought it would be lighter. I like Tint 7 though :)
You can never go wrong with a pink tint :) They're quite thick so you only need a
little bit from the tube. They're also tiny! they're just over 1.5" big (vertically) :p

I honestly don't know what possessed me to buy these :p
I fell for the packaging and the brand >> they're also great
to carry around in your purse. I'm a minimalist after all :p
They were around $8 each more or less >>

Quo Blue Lagoon Mineral Eye Duo

Shoppers Drug Mart was having a 20x the points sale this past Saturday!
Well, of course being me... I have been waiting for this sale to get some
necessities, as well as some things I have been wanting to try :)

I have been looking for a natural blue/aqua pressed eyeshadow for the
longest time! It's really quite hard and I stumbled across the Quo Minerals
line at Shoppers the week before. I was shocked because I didn't even
know that they had a mineral makeup line! I was glancing at the eyeshadows
and I saw this beautiful shade of blue and gold, glittery dark olive green.
Then I read, 'Mineral Eyeshadow' and fell in love! =p

The case is quite sturdy and there is no way this will pop open in your
purse or anywhere, for that matter. You can open 1 or 2 of the eyeshadows
at the same time, because they both have their own compartments, along
with a handy little mirror (it's actually quite good and not blurry).

It comes with a double ended sponge applicator, which has a rounded side
and a slightly pointed tip side for lining the eyes :) I'm a fan of sponge
applicators and I use them all the time, so nothing negative to say about them :)

The eyeshadows themselves are quite pigmented and I'm really loving this
shade of blue! very pretty. I took a few photos because it can look slightly
different according to the light :)

This retails for $20, but there was a 15% off sale on Quo eye products.
I paid $17 and Quo will always be having sales, so look out for them!

Ingredients: Ethylhexl Palmitate, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin, Sodium Dehydroacetate,
Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Ascorbyl Palmitate

*Notice the 'PRODUCT OF USA', on the back of the packaging.
I thought Quo was a Canadian brand! I'm confused -.-

I'm very subtle with makeup, so I will mainly be using these to line
my eyes... I can't say much about the staying power, just because I
rarely ever wear eyeshadow all over my lid. I like to buy eyeshadows
because I have the option of using them anyway I want :)

and I have been looking for a toilet odour eliminator for when I use
public washrooms >> haha very random but I found the Just a Drop
at Shoppers and decided to try it out :) no one likes to use a stinky restroom >>

Nubar Gem & Midnight Glory

ok, my pictures are getting kind of bland so here are 2 new polishes I got from Nubar! =] Gem and Midnight Glory (left to right). They're riding on Kees (pronounced 'case').

I can't wait to have Gem on my toes when the weather gets warmer for wearing sandals =]

I really do like the Nubar polishes, the quality of the polish itself is amazing, application is always very smooth for me and they have such a variety of unique colours.

Gem

Nubar colours I am currently liking:
- indigo illusion
- iced licorice
- raspberry truffle
- purple rain glitter
- emerald

Lipstick Collection

Yes, I only have 3 lipsticks lol. They are in order from old-recently purchased.

I'm not a huge lipstick person because I have dry lips and prefer lip balms/tints.

Left-Right:
- Etude House VIP Girl in OR205
- Maybelline Moisture Extreme in A34 Born With It
- Revlon Super Lustrous in 631 Luminous Pink (pearl)

Etude House
It has super cute packaging as always =p and I love the peachy orange shade, unfortunately it's very drying and settles into fine lines. It smells amazing but doesn't feel so great when applying... kind of chalky and dry.

Maybelline
The packaging is kind of boring and not very pretty but the lipstick itself is super moisturizing and creamy o.o unfortunately the colour I chose was very similar to my natural lip colour and I wanted more of a pink. They don't have a lot of shades to choose from but most of them are very pigmented.

Revlon
I love the colour, it's a light pink with silver shimmers. It's not super pigmented but not sheer, it gives off a nice sheen. It is a bit drying for the winter but will look great with glosses.
