♡ Recent Vintage Favourites ♡

I went to a vintage market last month and found a couple handkerchiefs for only $2 each!
They're absolutely adorable and is in perfect condition. It doesn't look like it has ever
been used. I also picked up a couple of sterling silver rings and I'm not sure which time
period they're from, but they could be from the 30's? If you have an idea, let me know!

My lovely partner found an old Pippi Longstocking book, that belonged to his
mom. It's an original 1950's copy! So... he gifted it to me and I'm in love :D
It seems to be quite fragile at this point, so I have to be very gentle with it.

♡ Current Reads ♡

Books. Oh, how I love non-fiction :)

Here are some of my current reads and I highly recommend them!

I'll just go in the order that I started reading them.

The End of Food | By: Thomas F. Pawlick

There's another book with the same name by Paul Roberts, but that one is more
American based. This one is more Canadian, which I prefer of course. It's more relatable.
He talks about the food industry and how the food we eat no longer has the same nutritional
value as it once did. It's a great read, if you're interested in what you are putting into your body.

Slow Death by Rubber Duck | By: Rick Smith & Bruce Lourie

It's amazing to find out how many of the products we use and see daily are actually quite toxic.
It's important for us, as consumers to have a certain knowledge before making any purchases.
This book would be great for parents or people who are thinking of having children.
This book is also Canadian based.

How to Climb Mont Blanc in a Skirt | By: Mick Conefrey

This is an interesting book! It focuses on female travellers and explorers dating back many
centuries ago. I find it very fascinating and a shame how little we know about these amazing
women, dating back to the 19th century. You will also find very random/quirky facts about
the women and their travels in this book :)

Stuff Every Gardener Should Know | By: Scott Meyer

I love this little pocket sized book! I spotted this gem at a local bookstore and had to pick it up!
I'm slowly attempting at growing my own vegetables, and I'll be working on an organic farm
later this year. This is definitely helpful for those who are new to gardening.

Thank you for reading :)
What have you been reading!?

♡ Current Favourites ♡

Devita Hyaluronic SeruGel
I decided to give this serum a try when it was on sale at White Rabbit Beauty.
They still have some pretty good sales on their natural beauty products :)
This is definitely not a moisturizer (which I thought it could be), but it's more
of a hydration booster for your following moisturizer. This works for all seasons
for me, since I use acne treatments quite often... AND I'm getting older... resulting
in more dry skin :( which I'm okay with I guess... must embrace it haha. I can't
seem to find this on their website anymore, so I have no idea how much I paid ><

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I'm only on page 74, but I'm liking the book so far :)
It's definitely one of those teenage love story type of reads, haha...
My friend lent me the book and she hasn't had the time to read it herself yet.

Emergen-C Pink Lemonade Vitamin & Mineral Supplement
So... I've been catching random colds and I decided to try this powder :)
I just take 1 packet a day in water and it doesn't taste bad... nor does it
taste amazing, but hopefully it would help to improve my immune system :)
AND it makes my water a rosy pink colour... can't get any better than that :p

Elle Magazine (free from Sample Source)
Yay for free magazines :p

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!!! :D
Hopefully, I'll be going on vacation soon = more photos to share with you all :)

hot summer

Top: H&M
Shorts: Zipia.net

It has been extremely hot the past week and will be even more hot the coming week ._.
I really can't stand the hot weather >< I get heat stroke quite easily and that's just not fun :(
I like to have 20-25 degrees weather but it has been around 33 degrees today, but it seriously
felt like it was 40 degrees with the heat! :(

Here is what I'm having for dinner :) my favourite vege!
I have no idea what it is called in English ><
and salmon with chicken, yummy :)

I am currently reading this book by Paul Roberts. It's interesting, but I tend to skim through a lot of it.

Delicate pearls

Top: Urban Planet (many years ago)
Shorts: Zipia.net

This is what I wore for work... kind of -.-
I went to work and there was a sign saying that there was no power,
so the mall was technically closed. I waited for 2 hours and left -.-

Posting these outfits is really helping me with trying to wear something
different everyday :) I think we should all document what we wear lol
I'm trying to incorporate some of my older pieces of clothing to my recent
purchases as well. When I go shopping, I look for basics or unique pieces...
I don't go crazy just because there is a sale or if something is on trend.

and here are 2 random photos =p I thought they matched!
I want to read this book, I saw it in store but didn't buy it.
I took the 2nd photo today while waiting outside the mall ><

A Good Read

Indigo is having a buy 3 get 1 sale on all of their books and magazines until July 4th! these are just some of my picks, I read the first few pages... tiny bit of the middle to get a feel of each book. If I am not feeling for it, I don't usually buy it. All these books were on sale from $4-7 max! and I get 1 for free, hehe :) I picked out 2 non-fiction and 2 fiction :)

new H&M magazine, yay :) I love them.

I have never purchased anything from Zara before but I was looking through their basics and found this simple white tank top. It's made from a nice material and the top portion is lined and I really love that because I have been looking for a white tank top that isn't see through! I also picked up a black tank top made from the same material but with thin straps. I tried it on and really liked how it looked and fit. I don't think these were on sale but they were around $11-15 :) I think they were a good purchase and will last me for many years!

and here is my outfit for my little lonely shopping adventure >> I was mainly supposed to get something from The Body Shop, but they were sold out of what I wanted -.- so I'll go to another location tomorrow :) I also picked up a navy pleated skirt at H&M on sale for $10 :)
